FOCUSED ON RELATIONSHIP – NOT RULES. In a world of spiritual options, most people are customizing their spirituality - and yet they believe they are spiritually healthy and "good" Christians. How many truly know what God wants from them - or have the wrong idea of what it means to be a spiritually mature, authentic disciple?

Recent research has shown that church programs are not producing mature Christians. And sincere Christians have tried lots of dead-end, theologically flawed, and quick-fix spiritual approaches that have left them unfulfilled, disappointed or disillusioned. It's not surprising that so many feel lost, stuck or sidelined.

r12 starts out with correcting that misunderstanding... it's about inspiring and guiding people to give God what He really wants - and become who He wants us to be.

As pastors we teach this, but find ourselves in competition with the distractions of life: busyness, cultural pollution, lack of commitment.

NEW CHURCH PATHWAY TO TRUE SPIRITUALITY. Despite today's confused, performance-driven spirituality, there is a proven pathway to authentic discipleship where people can start (or re-start) the journey in the right direction. Out of the context of God's enormous grace found in chapters 1-11, Romans 12 provides this type of clear target for how Christians should "therefore" live as disciples. It's the START HERE of the Christian life – the "true north" that we can all come back to in our spiritual journey.

IT'S FOR THE WHOLE CHURCH. Romans12 is strategic because it has a profile that can be applied to anybody – it's for new believers, stuck believers, sideline believers, and even seasoned believers. r12 doesn't require everyone to be at the same level spiritually... it dynamically addresses people right where they are with the question, "Are you ready to start moving closer to God today?"
